To update Time Entry Preferences, open the Time Entry form and select Tools > Preferences.
Time Entry Preferences are saved by user, so changes apply only to the user who updates them.
Use Time Entry Preferences to control how the Time Entry form behaves for your user account. These settings can enable continuous entry, automatically duplicate values from the previous time entry, enable notes, start the stopwatch automatically, and set time rounding for stopwatch entries.
Open Time Entry Preferences
- Open the Time Entry form.
- Select Tools > Preferences.
Review and update the available preference options.
Preference options
Use Continuous New Mode
Select this option to open a new Time Entry form each time a time entry is saved.
Auto-duplicate Date
Select this option to automatically populate the Date field with the same date used on the previous time entry.
This option is used with Use Continuous New Mode.
Auto-duplicate Timekeeper
Select this option to automatically populate the Timekeeper field with the same timekeeper used on the previous time entry.
This option is used with Use Continuous New Mode.
Auto-duplicate Client/Matter
Select this option to automatically populate the Client and Matter fields with the same client and matter used on the previous time entry.
This option is used with Use Continuous New Mode.
Auto-duplicate Task Code
Select this option to automatically populate the Task Code field with the same task code used on the previous time entry.
This option is used with Use Continuous New Mode.
Auto-duplicate Activity Code
Select this option to automatically populate the Activity Code field with the same activity code used on the previous time entry.
This option is used with Use Continuous New Mode.
Use Note Field
Select this option to enable the Note field on the Time Entry form.
Open with stop watch running
Select this option to start the stopwatch automatically when you open a time entry.
Time Rounding
Use this option to set how the stopwatch minutes are rounded.
