To create a consolidation, open the client, add a consolidation name, assign billing details, select the address for bill copies, choose print or electronic delivery options, and save the consolidation.
Create a consolidation when multiple matters need to be billed on the same invoice through consolidated billing.
A consolidation must be created before matters can be assigned to it. Each client may have one or more consolidations, but each matter can be assigned to only one consolidation.
Before you begin
A Billing Address must be entered before the Send Copy To function can be used.
Create a consolidation
-
Select Tables > Clients.
-
Double-click the Consolidation icon.
- In the Consolidation spreadsheet, enter a name for the consolidation.
-

- In the Send Copy To spreadsheet, select an address.
- Enter the number of Bill Copies to send to that address.
- Clear the Print checkbox if a printed copy is not needed.
- If the bill should be emailed and exported, select the electronic format from the appropriate drop-down box.
-
Enter a Bill Copy comment.
- Repeat the address and bill copy steps for each address that will receive a bill copy for the consolidation.
- Save the consolidation using one of the following options:
- Click the Save icon.
- Select Form > Save.
- Press Ctrl + S.
Working with multiple consolidations
If multiple consolidations are created for a client, selecting a consolidation in the Consolidation spreadsheet displays the corresponding addresses for that consolidation in the Send Copy To spreadsheet.
From there, you can change address assignments or add additional addresses for the selected consolidation.
