WIP Transfer, (Work in Process Transfer) allows your firm to reassign a time or expense record on a prebill from one Client/Matter to a different Client/Matter. At the time of the transfer, you can transfer that item to an open prebill. You can also transfer that item back to work in process for the transfer-to Client/Matter, where it will remain waiting to be included in the next prebill selection. You must be on version 2.35 or higher to have the function to WIP Transfer to an Open Prebill.

When an item is transferred to an existing prebill, it does not get inserted in date order of the entry. If date order is important to your firm, you need to perform a quick 'Sort by Date' after the transfer.
