| Client | The threshold amount can be changed at the client level. The value entered for the client is used as the default for all matters for that client. |
| Matter | The threshold amount can be changed on individual matters. |
| Neither | Threshold amounts cannot be changed. |

After posting a flat fee bill
Use these settings to control what happens after a flat fee bill is posted.
Change Billing Frequency to
This setting can be set to Monthly or Cycle 0.
- Monthly: After the first flat fee bill is posted, Juris changes those matters to a monthly billing frequency. The matters are included for billing whenever monthly bills are selected.
- Cycle 0: The matter is included for billing only when Cycle 0 bills are selected. This effectively removes the matter from regular billing selection unless Cycle 0 bills are specifically selected.
Change Billing Agreement to
This setting can be set to Hourly or Leave as Flat Fee.
- Hourly: The amount charged when bills are selected is determined by the time entries entered and posted for the matter.
- Leave as Flat Fee: The flat fee amount is charged each time the matter is selected for billing.
Expense Attachment Printing Options
Use Expense Attachment Printing Options to select the default setting for expense attachments when printing bills.
These settings determine what happens to existing attachments when bills are printed. The selected setting is used as the default for newly defined clients or matters. You can override this setting at the client or matter level, as needed.
Changes made in Firm Options do not automatically update existing clients or matters. To change this setting for existing clients or matters, manually adjust the Bill Attachment setting. For more information, see Specifying the Inclusion of Attachments When Printing Bills.
Choose one of the following options:
- Print attached expense files when printing bills: Includes all expense attachments when printing bills, if attachments are present.
- Do not print attached expense files when printing bills: Does not print expense attachments with bills.
- Print attached expense files when printing bills for expenses over $: Allows you to enter a dollar amount. When a bill is over that amount, expense attachments are included when printing bills.
