Use financial statement layouts to define the content and formatting of financial statements in Juris. Each layout is built line by line using properties that control accounts, text, totals, spacing, and other statement elements.
Juris supports layouts for:
- Balance sheets
- Profit and loss statements
- Cash flow statements
- Supporting schedules in balance sheet or profit and loss formats
The properties available when building a layout vary slightly by financial statement type.

Permissions
The following permissions are managed through User IDs:
- Access to the financial statement menu option is granted through Menu Rights.
- Permission to print the Financial Statement Layout Master List is granted through Report Rights.
Financial statement layouts
To begin defining a layout, enter a financial statement code and description, and then select the layout type. Build the layout line by line by assigning the appropriate properties.

Property types
| Property | Description |

| ACCOUNT | Selects and formats accounts. |
| TEXT | Selects and formats Text Codes. |
| LITERAL | Adds and formats free text. |
| LF | Inserts a blank line in the statement. |
| FF | Starts a new page in the statement. |
| BSNI | Calculates balance sheet net income or loss. |
| PAT | Prints accumulated totals. Use it with ACCOUNT when account values are accumulated for later printing. |
| SUB1–SUB9 | Creates subtotal breaks 1 through 9. |
| CLR1–CLR9 | Clears subtotal breaks 1 through 9. |
| LEGEND | Prints a predefined legend based on the statement type. It is used to underline numerical columns, typically for subtotals and grand totals. |
| UNDRLN | Creates underlines in blank columns or rows. |
| SR/ER | Defines the start and end of a ratio. This property applies only to profit and loss statement layouts. |
