To create a quick check, create a new quick check batch, select the bank and vendor, enter or select the payment information, allocate distributions if needed, and save the quick check. Juris then prompts you to print the check or mark it as a manual check.
Use Quick Checks to create and print a check without posting a separate payment voucher batch. A bank account is required.
Create a quick check
- Select Transactions > Quick Checks.

Select Form > New > Quick Check to create a new quick check batch.
- In the Comment box, type a short description for the quick check, or accept the default.

Select Form > New.
The Quick Check window opens.
- In the Bank Code box, type the code of the bank from which checks are drawn. You can also click the ... button to select the bank from a list.

In the Vendor box, type the vendor code. You can also click the ... button to search for the vendor code.
The vendor lookup can be used to select a vendor or a temporary vendor. For more information, see Look up a vendor from Quick Checks.

Enter the payment using one of the following options:
- To select an existing voucher for payment, select Tools > Select Voucher. The Voucher Search window opens.
- To add a payment that does not have an existing voucher, select Form > New to add a new row.
When adding a new voucher, double-clicking in the Your Invoice Number box opens the detailed voucher screen, where you can allocate G/L or expense distributions if needed.
- Make any G/L distribution allocations as needed.
- Make any expense distribution allocations as needed.

Select Form > Save to save the quick check.
Juris prompts you to print the check.
- Verify the Starting Check Number, Check Date, and printer.
- Place check stock paper in the printer.

Click OK to print the check.
If the check should not be printed because it was handwritten, select the Manual Check option. No check will be printed.
The quick check is complete. Posting is not necessary.
Look up a vendor from Quick Checks

In the Quick Check window, click the Vendor ellipses button.
The Vendor Look Up window opens.
- In the Search for box, type your search criteria.
- In the Search Options panel, select each option you want to use to narrow the search results.

Click Search.
The results appear in the grid below the Search Options panel.
- Click the vendor row to select it.
- Click OK.
