Retroactive Rate Change updates selected Fee Schedules and changes qualifying time entries to the new Fee Schedule rates. It can also override user-entered values, if selected.
Before you run a retroactive rate change, review the available filters carefully. The Timekeeper, Personnel Type, and Task Code options cannot be used together.
Use Retroactive Rate Change to apply updated Fee Schedule rates to selected posted, unbilled time entries. You can apply the change broadly or limit it by Fee Schedule, Timekeeper, Personnel Type, Task Code, Client/Matter range, and Date Range.
Before you begin
Have all users exit Juris and place Juris in Maintenance Mode.
Retroactive Rate Change only changes rates on posted time entries. Unposted batches are not included. This includes entries from Juris Suite that have not yet been submitted and posted.
Because retroactive rate changes are adjustments to time entries, you must decide on each tab whether to post the changes based on Today’s Date or the Original Date. Juris creates Time Adjustment batches for these changes.
If an entry is on a Prebill, Juris removes the entry from the Prebill and changes the Prebill status to Ready to Edit. After the retroactive rate change is complete, you must re-select those prebills to include the removed items at the changed rate.
