Action Codes in Juris control the level of detail displayed on a bill. They can be applied during prebill editing or set at the matter level via Quick Action Codes. This functionality provides the flexibility needed to tailor billing outputs to both internal guidelines and client preferences.
Action Code Definitions
- None - No action is selected.
- Full (Full Detail) - Prints the bill with the maximum level of detail available, based on the reporting fields configured in the prebill design.
- Exp Only (Expense Only) - Bills only the expenses.
- Sum Bill (Summary Bill) - Bills all items but suppresses detailed information. This option prompts the user to enter summary text that replaces the suppressed details.
- Sum + Exp (Summary + Expense) - Allows summary text to replace fee detail while still displaying the details of the expenses billed.
When a summary option is chosen, a window appears to input your custom summary text.
This system gives you the flexibility to control how much detail appears on your bills, ensuring that the output meets both internal requirements and client expectations.
